Day Trips from Seattle: City of Snoqualmie

The City of Snoqualmie, a charming town mainly known for the great Snoqualmie Falls, is a wonderful day trip from Seattle. A 30-minute drive away, the falls never fail to amaze me - awe inspiring nature at its finest.

There are multiple vantage points to savor the stunning views - Snoqualmie Lower Falls scenic spot, Snoqualmie Falls Higher Observation Deck. Both of these are relatively easily accessible from the parking areas.

After a visit to the Falls, I usually like to visit downtown Snoqualmie to grab a bite at one of the multiple local eateries and cafes. My favorites are The Bindlestick, a limited menu cafe, the Dark Horse Brew and Snoqualmie Ice cream. The city is great for a relaxed walk around blooming flower bushes (in spring/summer) and beautiful homes. If you like a bit of history, a visit to the Northwest Railway Museum is a must.

I also like browsing for pretty things at Carousel - the gift shop and stopping by at the Sandy Cove Park for a slow evening by the river. Nothing calms me as much as the free-flowing water and nature.

Highly recommend a day out at Snoqualmie. If you’ve been already, what are your recommendations for things to do?
